That's what 2 year olds are made of...

My 2 kiddos turned 2!! I decided to "go all out" which in my book is a couple of balloons, some fruit dip and pasta salad. I did however summon my "Food Network Cake Challenger" and made Fondant for the cakes. It took me 3 hours to do two little 8" cakes! I would fail miserably if I was asked to do a 4 foot cake. The theme of the party was "Snips and Snails and Puppy Dog Tails, that's what little boys are made of." "Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice, that's what little girls are made of." We had Puppy Dog Tails (Twisty Cheetos) - Puppy Chow Chex Mix - Pixy Stix - Cinnamon Spice Bears.
Presents, presents and more presents. Jack got his "ba-ball" hoop which he about blew with excitement over. Lexi got her Diva Princess dress up quota filled for the year with shoes, jewels, tutu's and purses. And what would Jack do without a new truck? Clothes, books, movies, balls, double the gifts, double the mess and double the Thanks to everyone! We had a blast!
Lexi had another meltdown for this birthday too. Last year she cried through most of the party and then burned her finger on the candle. This year I think she got a little overwhelmed with all the presents and returned to meltdown mode right before the cake cutting. The binky biting might also be her two year old molars coming in - someday I'll throw that binky away!

"KINKIES"

We had visitors at our house last week, the cousins!! I loved it because they entertained my kids all day long! I barely saw my children. But today, (the next Monday) they are wanting me to have as much energy as they had but I just can't keep up.
We gave them Ring Pops and Lexi just sucked on it like her Binky...which she calls her "Kinky." Can't wait until the next visit!

HOPPY EASTER WEEKEND!

We spend a crazy weekend in Utah. It snowed 4 inches on Friday and we left Sunday at 73 degrees! The kids had a blast coloring eggs, themselves and each other, and the table. I think they dropped at least 3 eggs each.

We also had an Easter Egg Hunt and thanks to cousin Nicholas, Lexi got the motherload.
Jack found them in good hiding places too and of course wanted them to be balls so he could throw them, they didn't bouce very well, just popped open and lost the goodies inside.
