MMMM...SQUASH

We went to the Dr. and the Dr. said....
time to start solids!! mmm. They just about choked the first time. They didn't know what to think or do. Jack opens his mouth for the spoon but once the food goes in, out comes the tongue and most of the food. Lexi wont open her mouth but once you squeeze it in there, she'll actually swallow most of it.

Poor munchkins had to get the 2nd dose of shots. They did much better this time, not so sore afterwards. The babies have just about doubled in weight since birth. Lexi is 12 lbs 8 oz and in the 68% for length and Jack is 12 lbs 1 oz and only in the 5% for length. They are both trying their darndest to sit up and are swatting at and grabbing for toys. So fun to see the development.

4 MONTHS!!

GROSS!!!

Friday was a gross day. First, I walk into this....
Jack is spitty anyway but this was just nasty. Don't get me wrong, he's had plenty of other bad spit ups and he soaks his shirts and it gets stuck in his hair. Boys are gross.

Then, that afternoon, I was putting Lexi in the stroller and when I pulled my hand out it was covered in yuck. I thought "oh no, she's had a blow-out" so I picked her back up but the yuck was just on my hand and a spot on her lower leg. It took me a couple seconds to figure out that a bird had just pooped on me!! SICK!!

Not to worry, there was more. That evening we were bathing the kids and Jack decided to 'drop the kids off at the pool'...he pooped in the tub. EWWW!

I'm sure I'll have many more disgusting days when they figure out they can smear the poop on the crib or when they pick their nose and wipe it on the walls and all the other fun things that come with raising kids. Things that only kids can think to do. And I've got two that can share in the naughtiness together. Thank goodness for running water, soap, wipes, and hand sanitizer.

THE EASY LIFE

Can you get any more relaxed? Usually the blankets are still hooked around their fingers and up over half their faces when I walk in to check on them and find they've wiggled out of thier swaddle. They've got to have those hands up and out!

Story time got boring so naps on demand any time, any place sounded good.

Hey, your hogging all the hot water!

Jack still loves the bath and chills most of the time. As soon as you put Lexi in the water she acts like her breath is taken away but relaxes a little. Then she kicks and wiggles, can't tell if she is excited kicking or 'get me out of here' kicking. This was a one time shot with both in there, usually one is in the swing to the side waiting their turn. My kids will learn patience and how to share whether they like it or not, mom's only got two hands and they are getting too big to hold at the same time.
